About Us

Leave No Paw Behind

I'm Alexander, founder of PackedPaws.

Atlas is our resident adventure cat — featured throughout this site in guides, gear testing, and real-world travel experiences from RV life to hiking and road trips.

PackedPaws started long before Atlas.

In Cebu, Philippines, I spent several months where a stray orange-and-white cat would show up every night. He'd follow me down the street, curl up nearby, and act like he belonged there. I started calling him Buddy.

Buddy didn't have a home — but he had a story. That story is why this site exists.

What PackedPaws Is

PackedPaws is built for cat owners who want an active life with their cat — hiking, camping, road trips, RV living, and everyday outdoor exploration.

We focus on what actually works:

  • breed behavior and suitability
  • gear that holds up in real conditions
  • training that translates outside
  • safety in real outdoor environments

No vague advice. No generic pet content. Just practical guidance from real-world experience.

What You'll Find Here

Breed research. Which cats handle hiking, camping, travel, and RV life — and which don't. Temperament, training, and outdoor suitability for breeds like Bengals, Maine Coons, Savannahs, Siberians, and more.

Gear guides. Harnesses, GPS trackers, carriers, backpacks, and travel gear tested in real conditions.

Safety and training. Leash training, trail behavior, wildlife awareness, and what to do when things go wrong outdoors.

Breeder research. Curated breed-by-breed guidance to help find health-tested, adventure-suitable cats.

Why We Built This

Most cat content online is too general to be useful.

"Bengals are energetic." "Consult your veterinarian." "Cats need food and water."

That doesn't help when you're trying to actually take your cat outside.

We focus on specific answers:

  • How cold is too cold for a Maine Coon on a winter hike?
  • Why does your cat keep escaping its harness?
  • Which breeds actually handle travel and outdoor life?

We create the guides we wish existed when we started.

Leave No Paw Behind

This isn't just a slogan. It's the philosophy behind everything we build.

It means helping cats live safer, fuller lives — whether they're hiking mountain trails, traveling in RVs, exploring campgrounds, or surviving as strays like Buddy.

Every guide we publish and every resource we build serves the same goal: cats deserve better information, better tools, and better outcomes.
